Foot Reflexology at Secret SPA
Foot reflexology is an ancient therapy in which the therapist applies targeted pressure to specific points on the soles that are linked to different organs and systems of the body. Stimulating these reflex zones brings deep release, improves circulation and restores a sense of balance to the whole body.

What is reflexology
Reflexology rests on the idea that the feet are like a map of the whole body – each point on the sole corresponds to a particular organ, gland or system. The practice has ancient roots: traces of it are found in Egypt and China thousands of years ago, while its modern form took shape in the early 20th century through what became known as zone therapy.
During the session the therapist works with the thumbs and fingers, applying precise point pressure, rubbing and enveloping movements across the whole sole – from the heel to the tips of the toes. According to reflexology, stimulating a given zone has a beneficial effect on the corresponding part of the body and supports its natural self-regulation. Even outside that concept, the feet are full of nerve endings, which is why massaging them brings an exceptionally strong sense of relaxation.
Physiologically, pressure on the soles improves circulation in the legs, stimulates the nerve endings and activates the parasympathetic nervous system – the one responsible for rest and recovery. That is where the characteristic deep calm comes from, one that many feel during the session itself.
Reflexology or a foot massage
The two are often confused, but they work in different ways:
Foot massage
Aims at relaxing the feet themselves – it releases the muscles and eases the fatigue in the legs.
Reflexology
Works deliberately on specific reflex points linked to the whole body, following the “map” of the sole – which is why its effect is felt beyond the feet.
Reflexology turns care for the feet into care for the whole body.
One of the most deeply relaxing ways to get your balance back.

- You suffer from thrombosis, thrombophlebitis or varicose veins in the legs.
- You have recent injuries, fractures or swelling of the foot or ankle.
